512023.1 - Licensing of rights to use musical works and sound recordings of a musical work

Licensing rights to make use of a musical work or the sound recording of a musical work. Licences authorize the licensee to exploit the copyrighted musical work, for example by publishing an unpublished musical work, by reproducing a musical work, by making a sound recording of it, by communicating a work by telecommunication, to make a fixation of a performer's performance, to reproduce such fixations, to communicate a performer's performance by telecommunication. A licence may authorize some or all of these rights.
