2 - Other materials charged as feedstocks

Other materials charged as feedstocks' includes materials from petroleum or other sources which are external to the refinery and which are charged to the refinery as inputs.

2.1 - Crude tops used in operations

Crude tops used in operations' includes that portion of crude oil input that remains after a first refinery (for example asphalt plant) has extracted the desired heavy products and which portion must be transferred to another refinery for further processing.

2.2 - Crude bottoms used in operations

Crude bottoms used in operations' includes that Portion of crude oil input that remains after a first refinery has extracted the desired light products and which portion must be transferred to another refinery for further processing.

2.3 - Liquefied petroleum gases used in operations

Liquefied petroleum gases used in operations' includes that portion of total liquefied petroleum gas receipts (primarily receipts from non-reporting companies for the products propane and butane) that is charged as a refinery input.

2.4 - Natural gas used in operations

Natural gas used in operations' includes natural gas used as a refinery feedstock (excludes any natural gas used for heating or as fuel). Such natural gas should be expressed in cubic metres of heavy fuel oil equivalent.

2.5 - Lubricating oils and lubricating base stock used in operations to be reprocessed

Other feedstocks used in operations' includes other materials used, for example additives. It also includes partially refined products from sources external to the refinery.
