This category includes, for example, "East Indian", "Pakistani", "Sri Lankan", etc.

This category includes, for example, "Vietnamese", "Cambodian", "Laotian", "Thai", etc.

1.8 - West Asian

This category includes, for example, "Afghan", "Iranian", etc.

1.9 - Korean

1.10 - Japanese

1.11 - Visible minority, n.i.e.

The abbreviation "n.i.e." refers to "not included elsewhere". This category includes persons with a write-in response such as "Guyanese", "West Indian", "Tibetan", "Polynesian", "Pacific Islander", etc.

1.12 - Multiple visible minorities

This category includes persons who gave more than one visible minority response by checking two or more mark-in responses (e.g., "Black" and "South Asian").
