How would you rate the volume of traffic on the street?

In order to rate the traffic, stand within 50 feet of the house for 3 minutes and count the number of cars that pass by.

  • 1: Very low (no cars)
  • 2: Low (1-4 cars)
  • 3: Moderate (5-15 cars)
  • 4: High (more than 15 cars)
  • 8: RF

Are there any of the following in the street or on the pavement: garbage, litter, broken glass, drug related items, beer or other alcohol containers, cigarette ends or discarded packs?

To make this rating, refer to the area you can see around the person's house. Each item which is the size of a hand or larger is counted as 1 piece of garbage. For very small items such as cigarette ends one piece of garbage = 5 cigarette ends.

None = no signs of any garbage as defined above, roads, pavements and areas around the houses are spotless
Very little = one or two pieces of 'garbage' seen on road or pavement; one house with garbage around the house or overflowing the bin
Some = between three and five pieces of 'garbage' seen on road or pavement; more than one house with garbage overflowing the bin
A lot = Higher than 'some'

Are there any adults or teenagers loitering on the street? This includes anyone who is standing around without clear purpose, including teenagers who are hanging around watching other people and any homeless people.

To make this rating, refer to the area you can see around the person's house.

Select "One person loitering" or "More than one person loitering" if someone (or more than 1 person) was seen behaving in any kind of unpredictable/threatening way to anyone else (someone shouting, calling out, behaving erratically, giving unwanted attention to someone else).
