Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

TBI is offered as a rapid response module for the second half of the 2020 collection year and data is collected from all provinces.

This module collects information about concussions diagnosed by a medical doctor, nurse practitioner, or identified by a professional, as well as suspected or self-diagnosed concussions.

Respondents are asked if they had a concussion in 2019 and, if so, where and what they were doing when the concussion occurred. Respondents are then asked how long they experienced symptoms from the concussion and whether they have fully returned to regular activities.
