The quarterly survey, as conducted by the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association Inc. (www.clhia.ca), consolidates data for companies representing about 80 per cent of total benefit payments in Canada. Data for participating companies are adjusted to approximate industry totals for all life insurance companies in Canada.
