Beginning with the data year 1994-95, the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) assumed the responsibility for the collection of the Hospital Morbidity/Surgical Procedures and for the production and custody of the clean data files. The last data release in The Daily appeared on Wednesday, February 24, 1999 with the title "Hospital utilization, 1996/97".
