Reference period of change - 2014 (mood and anxiety disorders)

Target population - The SLCDC covers the population living in the ten provinces who have been diagnosed by a health professional with one or more of the following conditions: mood and anxiety disorders (18 years of age and over).

Reference period of change - 2011 (diabetes and respiratory conditions)

Target population - The SLCDC covers the population living in the ten provinces who have been diagnosed by a health professional with one or more of the following conditions: asthma (12 years of age and over), diabetes (20 years of age and over) or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (35 years of age and over).

According to the definitions of the conditions, nobody in the SLCDC sample could be classified to both asthma and COPD. As a result, the maximum number of conditions to which anyone could be classified was two: COPD and diabetes or asthma and diabetes.

Reference period of change - 2009 (arthritis and hypertension)

Target population - The SLCDC covers the population 20 years of age and over living in the ten provinces who have been diagnosed by a health professional with one or both of the following conditions: arthritis or hypertension.
