Reference period of change - 2004
For the 2003 reference period, the Air Quality Indicator reflected the potential for long term exposure of Canadians to ground-level ozone. As of the 2004 reference period, an additional indicator reflecting the potential for long term exposure of Canadians to fine particulate matter (PM2.5), was added. Therefore; the program is now called "Air Quality Indicators".
