As of the 2009 reference year, the survey name has been changed to Finances of Government Business Enterprises.

Reference period of change - 2006

Revisions and seasonal adjustment - Usually, there are no seasonal adjustments made to GBE data. The March 23, 2009 release is an exception to this rule as the Federal and Provincial GBE data have been restated back to 1999 to benefit users interested in time-series analysis. The restated data is presented using the 2007 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). In addition, expanded coverage of balance sheet and income statement line items have been added. All the local GBE data and the Federal and Provincial GBE data prior to 1999 are presented using the 1980 Standard Industrial Classification (SIC).
