Meeting Canadian physical activity guidelines refers to whether or not a person's observed physical activity met the physical activity guidelines developed by the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology for their age group. These guidelines link physical activity and health benefits and explain the amount and types of physical activity that are needed to experience significant, positive changes to an individual's health.

Person refers to an individual and is the unit of analysis for most social statistics programs.
