Occasions of food consumption of person, category

Occasions of food consumption refers to the occasions, on a particular day, when a person consumed food. Occasions include three meals, breakfast or brunch, lunch, and supper or dinner, as well as other occasions such as snacks, drinks, feedings (for infants under two years old), and extended consumptions including, for example, sipping cups of coffee from an 8-cup pot over a period of several hours.

Person refers to an individual and is the unit of analysis for most social statistics programs.
