Normal retirement age of registered pension plan, category

Normal retirement age refers to the average or median retirement age calculated from the responses "retired" on the Labour Force Survey to explain why they left their last job within the year prior to being surveyed.

Registered pension plans refers to employer-sponsored plans registered with Canada Customs and Revenue Agency and most commonly also with one of the pension regulatory authorities. The purpose of such plans is to provide employees with a regular income at retirement.
