Relationship to primary care receiver of person, category

Relationship with primary care receiver refers to the type of relationship existing between the person providing care and the person benefitting from it, for example, specific within-family relationships, friend, colleague, neighbour etc. A primary care giver is a person who, over the past 12 months, has spent time and resources helping someone who has a long-term health condition, a physical or mental disability or problems related to aging.

Person refers to an individual and is the unit of analysis for most social statistics programs.
