Type of operation (aircraft) refers to whether an aircraft is being operated within the military or civil sectors. The latter includes, for example, commercial, private and government (other than military) activities.

Airport refers to a place from which aircrafts operate that usually has paved runways and maintenance facilities and often serves as terminal. This is the location where flights depart or arrive.
