Mobility status refers to the status of a person with regard to the place of residence on the reference day in relation to the place of residence on an earlier date.

Person refers to an individual and is the unit of analysis for most social statistics programs.

The data for this variable are reported using the following classifications and/or lists:

• In-Migration, One year, for Census metropolitan areas (CMA) and Census agglomerations (CA)
• Out-Migration, One year, for Census metropolitan areas (CMA) and Census agglomerations (CA)
