Health problems, self-reported refers to whether or not a person has reported that a health professional has diagnosed him or her with a long-term or chronic medical condition. Long-term or chronic conditions are those which have lasted, or are expected to last, six months or more.

Person refers to an individual and is the unit of analysis for most social statistics programs.
